    awesome posts. I was reading some shit on sona’s blog and it reminded me of a youtube video of an argument between some true believer and a scientist in Iraq about Sun revolving around the earth. I will try to find it and post a link here.. you should see his explanation why the earth is round. fucking hilarious.

    Hey, our local brand of Christian fundies likes to make similar claims. One of their favourite arguments against Darwinian evolution is that eye is supposedly so complex that it could never have evolved on it’s own. It seems that idiots of the Christian and Muslim persuasion are both equally amazed by the human eyeball.

    I love the part when he starts talking about “Koranic science” and complaining about “the modern science that they teach in school”. I think any time there’s a debate in the US about teaching creationism (oh, excuse me, I mean “intelligent design”) in schools, they should just have a public showing of this video. It’s the quickest way to demonstrate the utter absurdity of even having such a debate, let alone seriously considering the teaching of 2,000 year old myths as scientific knowledge.

  17. Actually, I am exceedingly jobless today (called in sick at work), and it gives me an idea, we should have comedians who are atheist and who do not hesitate to make jokes about religion. Something like south park, of course which is centred at christianity.
